3^rd IT-014 Joint Meeting - April 5, 2005

Dear Colleagues,

You are invited to a Joint Meeting of IT-014, its Sub-Committees and Working Groups. This meeting follows the successful Joint Meetings of the last two years.

The objectives of the Joint Meeting are:

•  Provide an up-to-date overview of the business drivers of standards development;

•  Accelerate development in key areas of Health Informatics Standards;

•  Facilitate cross fertilisation of ideas, knowledge and expertise;

•  Identify areas of overlap and progress the affected work items; and

•  Provide input to IT-014's strategic planning.

We also hope that the Joint Meeting will facilitate the closer cooperation between the sub-committees and working groups as well as drawing new participants into the health informatics standards development activities.

The Joint Meeting is co-located with the HL7 Australia Conference on April 6, 2005, which will be an opportunity to also get an in-depth view of the latest in global HL7 Standards development.
