Health Level 7 (HL7) is an important messaging standard that enables the electronic transfer of health information across the health system. As such, it has a critical role to play in the future of e-health in Australia. To support the use of HL7 in Australia, an Australian HL7 Summit will be held from 19-20 March 2002, at the Stamford Hotel, Sydney Airport.
