The HL7 International Affiliates Meeting has become an important annual event on the Global HL7 calendar. After successful and well-attended meetings in Dresden (Germany) and Reading (UK) it is now Australia's pleasure to invite the International HL7 Affiliates and interested guests to meet "down under" to exchange ideas and share experience of the latest international developments in HL7.
The international dimension of HL7 has become an increasingly critical component of the effort to create healthcare information technology standards for global interoperability. The HL7 International Affiliates are strong contributors to this process and are focused on solving the challenges of harmonising a global Standard with local requirements.
Venue:
Carlton Crest Hotel, Queens Street, Melbourne, Australia
The 3rd HL7 International Affiliates Meeting is part of a cluster of five Health IT meetings in August in Australia and New Zealand

EHR - Clinical Aspects and Standards Workshop

This workshop is organised by the Faculty of Informatics and Communication, Central Queensland University in conjunction with and support from the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aging, the HL7 Australasia User Group, the openEHR Foundation , and Standards development teams who collectively have both clinical and ICT knowledge and expertise.
It is intended to be a sharing and learning experience, providing a relaxed forum for delegates to share ideas, review and reflect on the potential clinical use of Electronic Health Record Systems and required standards to meet clinical information needs.
The workshop will be conducted at an secluded beach resort located in tropical Queensland where an alluring stretch of coral reef coastline meets the rainforest, close to the Barrier Reef Islands , yet only 45 kms from Rockhampton Airport. The resort and its golf course are surrounded by native rainforest, home to some of Australia's most beautiful birds and exotic wildlife.
