5-6 March 2003, Hotel Conrad, Brisbane, Australia
Dear Colleagues,

The 2nd Health Level Seven (HL7) Australia Conference will provide an effective forum for users of HL7, clinicians wishing to ensure that their e-communication needs are met by the new systems and those interested in the HL7 approach to healthcare system interoperability. Learn the HL7 methodologies, their relationship to the clinical settings and get an update on the latest developments in the HL7 domain from noted experts.
Presentations, Tutorials and Workshops will give in-depth information on the core HL7 Standards and the underlying technologies. At the same time, the relevance of the technologies will be put into a clinical and a management context.

The main topics of the 2nd HL7 Australia Conference are:

  • HL7 Version 3 - a model-based standard
  • UML, Vocabularies and Object-Modelling
  • Clinical Templates, Archetypes and the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • HL7 Version 2.x Message Implementation Practice

We look forward to seeing you in Brisbane and again expect a productive atmosphere of sharing HL7 innovation as well as technical and clinical experience. By working together we can ensure that clinical information needs are met through the achievement of system interoperability.
